Driving To Columbia

Whether traveling by air or vehicle, you’ll love Columbia’s easy access. Only ten cities in America have three major Interstates transecting their metropolitan areas and Columbia is one of them. Columbia is served by I-20, I-26 and I-77, and is within 90 miles of I-85 and I-95, making travel to our city simple from every direction. Other major area highways include US 1, 21, 76, 176, 178, 321, 378 and 601.

By Air

The Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is served by American Airlines, Delta, and United.

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport, (CLT)  is less than two hours away and may be a better alternative, particularly for intercontinental travelers.   It is served by the Columbia Charlotte shuttle. Taxis & Shuttles

The following taxi services provide transportation to and from Columbia Metropolitan Airport. The taxi pick-up area is just outside the terminal – lower level baggage claim.  An average taxi ride to downtown from the airport to Columbia costs approximately $25- $30.  Also, be sure to check with the hotel you are staying at to see if they provide complimentary shuttle service.
