Abstract Submissions

Deadline for abstract submissions for travel award: March 25, 2022

      • Please limit abstract to a maximum of 300 words
      • Submit your abstract online
          • This form should be used for all abstract submissions as well as all travel award applications.

Travel awards for trainees (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows):

Graduate students and post-doctoral fellows are invited to apply for a travel award to help defray the cost of travel to attend the 2022 Stress Neurobiology Workshop.

Based on funding from the National Science Foundation, the Thayer Foundation, and other sources, travel awards will be presented to award winners to defray the costs of the meeting (Registration, Hotel accommodations, Travel costs).

Trainees applying for travel awards MUST still register for the meeting, submit their abstracts, and book hotel accommodations through the 2022 Neurobiology of Stress website.

Award Terms:

  • The travel awards are for in-person attendance at 2022 Stress Neurobiology Workshop from May 10-13, 2022, in Columbia, SC (USA). The conference will not have a virtual attendance option.
  • All awardees are required to present at the Data Blitz session on May 11, 2022.
  • Award certificates will be presented at the opening reception on May 10, 2022.
  • All travel award winners are required to present their posters in the exhibit hall for the full duration of their assigned presentation time.
  • Instructions for receipt of travel award funds will be sent to award winners prior to the meeting.

Award eligibility and submission details:

  • All applicants must submit an abstract as presenting author.
    • In addition to the abstract, applicants must provide:
      • a personal statement (250 words or less) describing how attendance at this meeting will promote their career goals
      • a CV
      • a letter of support from their mentor
  • Graduate students must be enrolled full-time in a graduate or professional degree program and not have completed their degree requirements by May 1, 2022.
  • Postdoctoral scientists must have received a Ph.D. or equivalent degree within five years prior to the date of application.
  • Application for travel awards must be received by March 25, 2022
